About Katie

I have always been interested in how people work, why people make the choices that they do and what drives people to act. As you can imagine, these interests lend themselves to curiosity in many aspects of life. I began my studies in Psychology but took a break after my master’s and worked for Saas companies in London before I returned to my passion for the individual and their way of living. Psychotherapy is my passion. I have regularly witnessed the positive change it can have on the lives of individuals, and I wanted to be a part of that.

Psychotherapy is a very specific kind of interaction with another person. Psychotherapy doesn’t have a general agreed-upon aim; perhaps you could suggest that we facilitate change, but then one may ask in which direction? The right direction, of course, but it’s you, the client, that must determine that. I find that once clients understand how they want to live, it becomes easier to live in the world and make decisions. I aim, through gentle questioning and informed interpretation, to help reveal the things in your life that are important to you and together, we discuss what they mean to you.

My therapeutic work often encourages the client to recommit to their role in their own life, taking back control. I also offer Coaching, I believe in a holistic approach to health and well-being, and both routes lead to outcomes of increased self-understanding, acceptance, joy, fulfilment and peace - something I’d like to see more of in the world.

The Human Design Coaching I offer can help explain individual aspects of yourself that may have been hard to accept or have puzzled you. I offer this work as I believe that change can happen quickly in some cases and does not always need to be painful. Often we don’t have to jump into the middle of the storm to find our way out, and Human Design can help relieve people of unnecessary anxiety and despair through learning acceptance.
